Paul Hastings hire of well known antitrust partner Michael Cohen in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Cohen, who joined from Heller Ehrman, handles criminal and civil antitrust litigation, as well as merger clearance and civil conduct investigations before the United States Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission. He serves as antitrust counsel for a diverse array of clients including Del Monte Foods, Symantec Corporation and Western Refining, which Cohen successfully defended through trial and appeal of Western’s acquisition of Giant Industries. Prior to his law firm career, Cohen served as an Assistant Special Prosecutor investigating and prosecuting criminal wrongdoing related to the failure of major financial institutions.
