Marco Santori and Patrick Murck joined Cooley from Pillsbury Winthrop

Marco Santori (who in 2018 left Cooley to join Blockchain as President and Chief Legal Officer) and Patrick Murck joined Cooley, from Pillsbury Winthrop. Marco, who is Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation’s Regulatory Affairs Committee, led Cooley’s Digital Currency and Blockchain Technology team. Recently described by an American Banker reporter as “the Dean of Digital Currency Lawyers,” Marco counsels banks, broker-dealers, exchanges, wallets, payment processors, institutional miners, and other companies making new and exciting uses of distributed ledger technology. Patrick co-founded the Bitcoin Foundation where he served as General Counsel and later as Executive Director. He has been involved in a number of digital currency and FinTech startups as an employee, entrepreneur and advisor. He was named among the 50 Outstanding General Counsel in the U.S. in 2014 by the National Law Journal and is a fellow with the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.
